Travel to and from Tucson International Airport and Housing
Taxis are available right outside baggage claim; the fare to the U of A area is approximately $20. Housing will be at one of two B&B's near the university or with members of the U of A Linguistics department. When housing arrangements have been finalized, you will be given the address of the place you are staying. Where feasible, you may be picked up or dropped off at the airport by members of the department.

Weather
The average high and low temperatures in Tucson in late April hover in the mid-80’s and mid-50’s respectively. Especially if you will be here on Sunday and would like to go on the excursion to the Desert Museum, bring a hat and sunscreen. We’re at about 2500 feet elevation and the air is often very clear, meaning that exposed northern European skin like mine can toast in 20 minutes.
