The Friends of Uto Aztecan Conference is an annual meeting that brings together scholars interested in Uto-Aztecan languages. Uto-Aztecan is a Native American language family spoken throughout the western US and Mexico. It comprises Numic languages, like Shoshone, Takic languages like Cuipeno, Hopi, Tubatulabal, Aztecan languages, like Nahuatl or Pipil, Taracahitic languages, like Tarahumara or Hiaki, Tepiman languages, like Tepehuan or Tohono O'odham, Corachol languages like Cora or Huichol, and Tubar, among other languages
