The UA Linguistics Department hosted the Garden Path Series, a speaker series focused on possible career paths for individuals with linguistics degrees.
Invited speakers were UA alumni who work as linguists in various industries. During each event, there was a short presentation from the speakers, focusing on how they got into their current careers, followed by a moderated discussion and Q&A.
Speakers Megan Schildmier and Alina Newland joined us for the second of two such events on April 26th at 3:00PM in Communication 311.
This series was supported by a Graduate College Seed Grant for Maximizing Resources to Improve Time-to-degree of PhD students at the University of Arizona.
