Amy Fountain secures NSF funding for developing digital language resources workshop for indigenous community members

Sept. 5, 2016

Amy Fountain was awarded NSF funding to run a two day workshop on creating digital language resources and digital archives for endangered languages. The two day workshop will be organized by Dr. Fountain and AILDI. Along with Dr. Fountain, alumni Luis Barragan and Shannon Bischoff and Coeur d'Alene Language Program Director Audra Vincent will be running the workshop. The workshop will be held at the Huhugam Heritage Center in Maricopa. The workshop stems from an earlier NSF funded project of Dr. Fountain's developing online digital resources (e.g. dictionaries, recordings, heritage materials) for the Coeur d'Alene Tribe. Participants will be from regional tribal communities.
