University of Arizona at the 2nd International Conference on Mesoamerican Linguistics

University of Arizona student Rolando Coto-Solano will represent the Department at the 2nd International Conference on Mesoamerican Linguistics, at California State University in Los Angeles on March 6-7th, 2015. This bilingual conference brings together researchers on language revitalization, phonology, morphology and historical linguistics working in the Mesoamerican linguistic area, and on linguistic families such as Uto-Aztecan, Mayan, Otomanguean and Arawak. Rolando will present on "The Phonotactics of the Bribri language", and will propose a phonology for the Bribri language (Chibchan) based on phonetic and phonotactic data.
