About Maya Klein

I'm a second year student in the joint anthropology and linguistics (ANLI) PhD program. I have a B.A in linguistics from Tel-Aviv University. My research interests are contact induced change and minoritized language standardization. Specifically, I'm interested in the role of the media in Scottish Gaelic revitalization and standardization. I examine phonetic variation in Gaelic. I'm involved with the Celtic group, and am learning Gaelic as well. Outside of academia I like to hunt down new places to eat, and to cook yummy things.
