Arizona Stadium Sign Unveiling

On August 25th, the new sign for the UA football stadium, in San Carlos Apache, was unveiled and dedicated! This is approximately the fifth UA building sign to be added in an indigenous language of Arizona, and it came from an initiative from Ofelia Zepeda, AILDI, and Linguistics. The unveiling included speeches by leaders from San Carlos Apache Tribe, leaders of the UA, and Apache UA students. The tribe chose to translate the sign for the football stadium as "we will fight until we win."
