UA linguist Dr. Ofelia Zepeda has been involved in expanding Amercian Indian Studies in the University of Arizona throughout the past years. Her most recent activities are featured in a recent issue of The Chronicle of Higher Education. Dr. Zepeda has helped expand Ameican Indian studies from a master's-degree-only program to a doctoral one. "This time, she will oversee the transition of American Indian studies from a graduate program to a full department with an undergraduate major." reports The Chronicle.
