Henderson Co-Organizes FAMLi 5

Assistant Professor Robert Henderson recently in Guatemala co-organizing the 5th FAMLi conference (Form and Analysis in Mayan Linguistics). With generous financial support from the UMD Language Sciences Center, FAMLi 5 took place in Antigua, Guatemala on August 10-11. The conference was held at the Cooperación Española, and attracted over 60 attendees. It was truly an international affair, attracting participates from Guatemala, Mexico, the United States, Canada, and multiple European countries. More importantly, the conference was deeply local, with over half of the presenters being native speakers of Mayan languages.
