An introduction to Noam Chomsky's science of language

Jan. 3, 2016

This spring semester there will be a special seminar on Noam Chomsky's science of language. The course will start with a general introduction to the major concepts, methods and theories of Chomsky’s approach to language. It will end with discussion of a recent book by Noam Chomsky and Robert Berwick on language evolution and yet unpublished papers on the central notion of Parameters. The highlight of the course, though, will come in the middle with three lectures given by Noam Chomsky himself. These will take place on March 3th, 10th, and 31st, so mark your calendars! Attached to this news item is a full syllabus for the course.
