Yiseul Han

PhD Candidate

Hello! My name is Yiseul Han, but you can call me Yiseul. I am a 4th-year PhD student in the Linguistics department, specializing in psycholinguistics, phonetics, and Second Language Acquisition and Teaching (SLAT). My research areas include prime lexicality effect, masked form priming, new word lexicalization, and second language vocabulary learning. I have over 10 years of experience teaching English at middle and high schools in South Korea, and I taught a Korean course at the University of Arizona in 2023. I am passionate about languages, cultures, and traveling. I've explored Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Canada, Inner Mongolia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, and the U.S., where I traveled from Florida to New York over the course of a month. I also lived in South Carolina for a year. Along the way, I've picked up Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, and Spanish. My hobbies include singing, swimming, and photography. I'm a big fan of sharing food and snacks.
