William M. Cotter publishes in Proceedings of Meetings on Acoustics

Joint PhD student in Anthropology and Linguistics William M. Cotter recently published an article in the Proceedings of Meetings on Acoustics (26:060001). The article, titled “A sociophonetic account of morphophonemic variation in Palestinian Arabic” investigates dialect contact and change within Gaza City Arabic. Cotter’s article investigates vocalic change in the Arabic feminine gender marker, a word final vowel that is pronounced differently across Arabic varieties.
