Joint Anthropology & Linguistics PhD student William Cotter publishes in the Encyclopedia of Arabic Language and Linguistics

Jan. 25, 2016

William Cotter, a joint doctoral student in the Anthropology & Linguistics recently co-authored (with Uri Horesh) a lemma in the Encyclopedia of Arabic Language and Linguistics entitled "Sociolinguistics of Palestinian Arabic". The lemma highlights studies done in recent years that have examined language variation in varieties of Palestinian Arabic. At the same time, the lemma situates language variation in Palestinian Arabic within the larger socio-political context of the modern Middle East and specifically within the Israel-Palestine conflict. The lemma is available in the online edition of EALL here!
